We are one of the largest and most professional crane manufacturers in China, with total sales of more than 1.6 billion US dollars last year, including sales of 11,000 sets of double-beam and gantry cranes, more than 73,000 sets of single-beam cranes, and more than 100,000 sets of electric hoist and accessories.
We have an advanced, green, whole-industry chain, intelligent manufacturing industrial park, with an investment of 370 million US dollars and more than 4,700 employees, which has been established for more than 20 years.

Model CD1, MD1 Wirerope Electric Hoist is a small-sized lifting equipment, which cab be mounted on singlebeam, bridge, gantry and arm cranes. With slight modification, it can also be used as a winch. It is widely used in factories, mines, harbours, warehouses, cargo storage areas and shops,es sential in raising working efficiency and improving working conditions.
Model CD1 Electric Hoist has only one normal speed, which can satisfy normal application. Model MD1 Electric Hoist provides two speeds: normal speed and low speed. At a low speed, it can do precise loading and unloading, mounding of sand box, maintenance of machine tools, etc. Thus, model MD1 Electric Hoist is more widely than Model CD1.
The difference between single-speed and double-speed electric hoists
There are significant differences in structure, function and application scenarios between the single-speed and double-speed designs of electric hoists. The main distinctions are as follows:
1. Speed Control
Single-speed Electric Hoist: It has only one fixed lifting speed and is usually suitable for occasions where a single speed is required. For example, the lifting speed of the CD1 type wire rope electric hoist is 8m/min, which is suitable for regular lifting operations.
Double-speed Electric Hoist: It has two speed modes, usually normal speed and slow speed. For example, the normal speed of the MD1 type wire rope electric hoist is 8m/min, and the slow speed is 0.8m/min, which is suitable for occasions where fine adjustment is needed.
2. Structure and Working Principle
Single-speed Electric Hoist: The structure is relatively simple, with only one motor speed and one set of stator and rotor windings.
Double-speed Electric Hoist: The structure is more complex, usually equipped with a main motor and a secondary motor, and the two speeds are switched by changing the motor speed or using a double-speed motor. For example, the MD1 type double-speed electric hoist uses the ZDS type double-speed motor, with the main motor responsible for the normal speed and the secondary motor for the slow speed.
3. Application Scenarios
Single-speed Electric Hoist: It is suitable for regular lifting operations, such as in industrial and mining enterprises, warehouses, and docks, where the speed requirement is not high.
Double-speed Electric Hoist: It is suitable for occasions where fine adjustment is needed, such as in the installation of precision equipment and mold factories. The slow speed mode can achieve height control accurate to the centimeter.
4. Performance and Advantages
Single-speed Electric Hoist: The structure is simple, and the maintenance cost is low, but the flexibility is poor and cannot meet the requirements of fine operations.
Double-speed Electric Hoist: It operates smoothly, with small impact force during start and stop, suitable for precision operations. However, the structure is complex and the cost is higher.
5. Motor Power and Efficiency
Single-speed Electric Hoist: The motor power and efficiency are relatively fixed and suitable for single tasks.
Double-speed Electric Hoist: The motor speed and power can be adjusted according to the task requirements, improving the operation efficiency and safety.
Summary
The single-speed electric hoist is suitable for regular lifting operations, with a simple structure and low cost; the double-speed electric hoist is more suitable for occasions where fine adjustment is needed. Although it has a more complex structure and higher cost, its flexibility and accuracy are significantly better than those of the single-speed electric hoist. Choosing the appropriate type according to specific needs can significantly improve operation efficiency and safety.
