The application of double-girder cranes in the metallurgical industry mainly includes QDY type double-girder metallurgical cranes and double-girder bridge metallurgical casting cranes.

The QDY type double-girder metallurgical crane, also known as the metallurgical hoist or high-temperature resistant metallurgical crane, is mainly used in metallurgical and casting sites for lifting molten metals. It offers various lifting capacities, such as 5 tons, 10 tons, 16/3.2 tons, 20/5 tons, 32/5 tons, 50/10 tons, and 74/20 tons. This crane is suitable for high-temperature environments, with an overall working level of A7. It features an insulating layer installed at the bottom of the main girder to ensure stable operation in harsh conditions.

Double-girder bridge-type metallurgical casting crane
Double-girder bridge-type metallurgical casting cranes play a crucial role in metallurgical production and are mainly used for tasks such as adding materials to converters and transporting molten steel. These cranes are designed to be highly efficient and stable, capable of performing well in complex production environments. They come in various structural forms, including four-girder four-track double trolleys, four-girder six-track double trolleys, double-girder single trolley, and double-girder mother-and-child trolleys. For large casting cranes, integral large reducers are often used to enhance the reliability and safety of the equipment.

Applicable Environment and Performance Parameters
Metallurgical cranes are generally used in metal smelting workshops, with an ambient temperature ranging from -10ºC to +50ºC. The radiation temperature of the molten metal lifted by the crane to the forging hooks and plate hooks should not exceed 300ºC. The working levels are classified as A7 and A8, suitable for relatively busy metallurgical casting workshops.
