The new type of bridge crane is a new type of crane with lightweight, universal, energy-saving and environmental protection, and high technical content that our company developed on the basis of introducing and digesting advanced foreign technology, with modular design theory as the guidance, modern computer technology as the means, the introduction of optimization design and reliability design methods, and the use of imported configurations, new materials, and new processes.
The design, manufacture and inspection of this crane are in accordance with relevant national standards, and some foreign standards such as FEM, DIN, IEC, etc. are equivalently adopted. Compared with the original general QD type bridge crane products, the deadweight is reduced by about 15-30%, and the wheel pressure is reduced by about 10-35%, which can reduce the requirements of the crane on the plant structure and save the manufacturing cost of the plant. The core component of the transmission mechanism, the reducer, all adopts hardened tooth surface and high-precision gear pairs, plus the application of steel drums, forged wheels and variable frequency speed regulation systems, making this model of crane an upgraded product with excellent economic and social benefits, suitable for machinery manufacturing, assembly, petrochemical, warehousing and logistics, power construction, papermaking, railways and other industries.
Ø The main beam adopts a skewed box-type structure and is connected to the end beam with high-strength bolts for easy transportation. Specialized processing equipment ensures the connection accuracy of the main and end beams, making the crane run smoothly. Ø The hoisting trolley is an open and compact winch structure, and European hoist trolleys can also be used for small and medium tonnage.
Ø The trolley and trolley operating mechanism adopts European technology three-in-one drive form, hardened gear reducer, compact structure, low noise, no oil leakage, and long service life. Ø Due to the use of European compact trolley and high-strength materials, the overall size of the machine is small and light. Compared with traditional cranes, under the same lifting height conditions, the height of the plant can be reduced, effectively reducing the cost of the plant. Ø Modular design, short design cycle, high degree of commonality, and improved utilization of parts. Ø Compact structure, low clearance, small size, large working range, effectively improving production efficiency. Ø Full frequency conversion control, stable operation, no impact, slow speed for heavy loads, fast speed for light loads, energy saving and consumption reduction.

1. Core Function Differences
Winch: Specifically designed for horizontal pulling, commonly found in off-road vehicles, boats, etc., it pulls stranded vehicles or adjusts sails/anchor chains by winding ropes. For instance, a vehicle-mounted electric winch can provide temporary pulling force through a 12V/24V power supply.
Hoist: Primarily for vertical lifting, it also has the ability to pull horizontally and diagonally, used in construction, mining, etc., for heavy object lifting, with a stronger load capacity. It is independent and can work without relying on other equipment.
2. Structural and Size Comparison
Winch: Relatively simple in structure, typically consisting of a motor, gear system, and rope, it is small in size and easy to move and install (such as in vehicles).
Hoist: More complex in system, including a motor, gearbox, braking system, wire rope assembly, etc., it is larger in size and used in a fixed manner. Some hoists are called winches, but they should not be confused with winches.
3. Application Field Differentiation
Winch:
Off-road vehicle rescue (such as in deserts, swamps);
Boat anchor chain or sail adjustment.
Hoist:
Construction site lifting;
Port loading and unloading or mining operations.
4. Other Key Differences
Power Type: Winches are mostly electric (powered by vehicle batteries), while hoists can be either manual or electric.
Mechanical Advantage: Both follow the lever principle (mechanical advantage ≈ crank length / drum diameter), but hoists, due to their complex design, have higher efficiency.
Summary: Although both use drums for pulling, winches are more portable for horizontal pulling, while hoists specialize in heavy vertical lifting. When choosing, it is necessary to distinguish based on scene requirements (such as load capacity, installation method).
