The structure of the dual-speed motor for electric hoists
The dual-speed motor for electric hoists is mainly composed of a motor, a reducer, an electromagnet, and bearings, etc. The motor is the core component, responsible for providing power; the reducer can reduce the motor's rotational speed to obtain greater torque; the electromagnet is used to control the motor's start and stop; and the bearings support and protect the motor rotor, reducing friction and wear.
The operating principle of the dual-speed motor for electric hoists
Mechanical dual-speed: It is achieved through the combination of the main and auxiliary motors. The main motor provides the normal speed, while the auxiliary motor provides the slow speed. The auxiliary motor, together with the intermediate gear and the gear-equipped brake disc of the main motor, forms an independent slow-speed mechanism. When the main motor is connected to the power supply, the motor rotor overcomes the pressure of the brake spring, causing the brake wheel to disengage from the brake disc of the slow-speed mechanism, allowing the main motor to operate normally. When the auxiliary motor is connected, the auxiliary motor shaft undergoes axial displacement, driving the brake wheel of the main motor to achieve slow-speed operation.
Variable-frequency dual-speed: It utilizes a frequency converter to change the power supply frequency, thereby controlling the motor's speed. This method is suitable for applications requiring smooth operation, effectively reducing the impact force during start-up and stoppage, and ensuring smooth operation.
Application scenarios of dual-speed motors for electric hoists
Dual-speed motors for electric hoists are widely used in factories, warehouses, logistics centers, and other places for lifting and transporting goods and heavy objects. Their dual-speed feature enables different speeds to be achieved according to various work requirements, enhancing work efficiency and flexibility.
